It is day FIVE with only a couple days left of launch week. I’m having so much fun giving fun stuff away and sharing this experience with you so the end is a sad thought. But there are still so many fun things to give away so let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Back to day five.
Today’s winner is…
Today is all about being creative–one of my absolute favorite roles. Creativity isn’t necessarily aligned with practicality so I wanted to give away one of my favorite tools that is just FUN to play around with. We all need more fun in our lives, am I right?
THE COMPLETE BOOK OF CHALK LETTERING by Valerie McKeehan
It’s no secret that I love all things chalkboard: walls, frames, mason jar lids, you name it. But chalk lettering is just hard if you’re not a calligraphy specialist; especially if you’re a perfectionist like me. Plus, I struggle to come up with more than three lettering designs on my own. Enter this amazing book of chalk lettering tutelage.
SO MANY COOL IDEAS and all the step-by-step tutorials you need to make your own chalk fonts & designs. Yes, it isn’t just lettering but design…flowers, arrows, filigree, etc.
I used the arrow design ideas to help me with this wall in our guest room and it was so easy. This wall makes me so happy.
Until I read this book, I had never entertained the thought of sharpening my chalk—duh, Cheryl! Another neat & thoughtful inclusion is that they include smooth chalk-ready pages for practicing, the front page with lines and plain, fold-out pages in the back.
Whether you are an avid chalk letterer or you just want something to test drive, I think you’ll have as much fun with this book as I do. You can grab your own copy at Amazon Prime.
FINE & BOLD WHITE CHALK MARKERS by VersaChalk
You probably could’ve guessed but to match your new chalk lettering guide, I’m throwing in a set of fine point and bold chalk markers. I love the look of real chalk but I hardly have the patience for it most days.
Treat these chalk markers like regular paint markers. You’ll get a nice solid, flowing line for writing on any chalk surface. I prefer to use markers over chalk on calendars & labels, places that I need my writing to be small and precise. I’ve tested a lot of chalk markers over the years and I’m here to say, Versa Chalk is primo. You can purchase single pens or set on Amazon Prime.
That’s it for day FIVE, set a reminder to check in for tomorrow’s great prize!
