WHAT I LOVE ABOUT YOU TODAY PAD by Knock Knock
This is one of those non-essential, fun items. It’s nifty because you can hang the note-pad on your fridge and it supplies you with fun content and ideas for a quick love note to your man (or from him back to you). I don’t know about you but back in our early years of dating we wrote notes back and forth like crazy. I have preserved notebook pages, coffee cups, and napkins to prove it! It’s just so fun to receive something unexpected and thoughtful from the person you love.
In the craziness of life and due to the fact that we see each other every day, we just don’t write notes anymore. That’s why I love this list; it causes me to think intentionally about saying something nice to my husband, something outside of the mundane, usual jargon. You have to work to keep your relationship fresh and fun, make a point to enjoy each other. This list is a perfect aid in that pursuit. If you want to purchase a list for yourself, it’s on Amazon Prime.
THE ANTELOPE IN THE LIVING ROOM by Melanie Shankle
Oh, how I love Melanie and her amazing sense of relatable humor! After reading her books, I not only feel as though I know her personally but that we relate on a cellular level. She is my literary bestie. I have read through all three of her books (each covering marriage, motherhood, and best friendship) and lately, I’ve been wanting to read through the set again. This book is entirely true, based on her own marriage and laced with her transparency and sarcastic humor. I think that most of us can relate to just the title (antelope…deer…fish…turkey), am I right?
Sometimes you just need to laugh with someone on the realities of life, in this case, marriage. Reading this book is just like doing that. If you’re like me, you’ll be sharing this book with a good friend so that you can laugh together over the ironies of married life. This book serves as a great reminder to not take life so seriously and to laugh at yourself every now and again. If you want to snag a copy (or audiobook) for yourself, you can find it on Amazon Prime.
That’s a wrap for day two of the launch week giveaway, I’ll be back tomorrow with more great prizes!
